Firearms and Weapons

Carrying unlicensed weapons is a crime and can get you in serious trouble. We can help you.

It is illegal to carry, possess, or use firearms or a weapon without a proper licence or a lawful excuse. Breaching firearms or weapons laws can result in severe penalties. You cannot use a firearm or weapon to cause injury to another person unless you have a reasonable excuse at law, such as self-defence. Additionally, manufacturing weapons or trafficking them for financial gain is also illegal. If you are facing charges related to firearms or weapons offences, seeking legal advice as soon as possible is essential.

A person can also become a ‘prohibited person’ under the Firearms Act, which means that penalties can become much greater and if you are the holder of a firearms licence, becoming a prohibited person can have serious consequences to that licence, such as suspension or cancellation.
